A Message from Our CEO: It Takes a Village

This month, we celebrated a historic milestone—the groundbreaking of Kedren Children’s Village. By bringing behavioral health, primary care, and social services into one campus, Kedren Children’s Village will be a national model for comprehensive, community-centered, whole-person care.

True healing happens when we break down barriers to access and set our sights beyond treatment – to transformation. Kedren Children’s Village will show how communities can prioritize comprehensive youth mental health services with dignity and compassion by bringing these best practices into one location.

We are honored to have commemorated this groundbreaking alongside Representative Maxine Waters, Representative Sydney Kamlager-Dove, Assemblymember Mike Gipson, the Department of Health Care Services, and the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health.

More than just a name for our groundbreaking event, It Takes a Village reflects the collaborative partnerships that built Kedren Children’s Village. This model ensures children and families receive the wraparound support needed to thrive.

Kedren Children’s Village stands as a testament to what’s possible when we come together with compassion and a commitment to breaking cycles of trauma through holistic, forward-thinking solutions.

Kedren is committed to fostering potential and ensuring every child, regardless of their circumstances, has the care and support they need to thrive.

With gratitude,
Gregory Polk, CEO
