Financial Assistance at Kedren

Our mission is to provide quality integrated health and behavioral health services to children, youth, adults, and families irrespective of immigration status, residency, language, culture, gender, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or one’s ability to pay.  As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and a baseline behavioral health provider contracted with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, Kedren is committed to working with our patients through any financial issues, including finding ways to make primary care and behavioral health care more affordable and accessible. If you are having trouble paying for all or some of your primary care and/or behavioral health care, we encourage you to talk with a Kedren Financial Counselor or someone in our business office about how we can help you.

What Is Covered?

We can help eligible patients in paying for primary care and/or behavioral health services received at Kedren.

Government and Community Programs

If you are without health insurance or lack of financial resources to pay for primary care and/or behavioral health services , you may be eligible for other programs. We can help you discover whether these government and community programs (Medicaid and Indigent benefits) can help cover your health care bills. We also can help you apply for these programs.

Discounts for Uninsured Patients

Kedren offers a discount for patients who may not have primary care and/or behavioral health care insurance coverage. Please contact us about our discount programs.  Our behavioral health program is a Short-Doyle Medical contract with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health which is subject to the AB 774 Charity Care and Discount Payment requirements.  Our primary care services are covered by the Sliding Fee Discount Program as required by the U.S. Heath Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).

Financial Assistance Program

Kedren helps patients who may not have the financial ability to pay all their primary and/or behavioral health care bills. Any of our patients can apply to get help. To qualify you will need to answer questions about your financial situation. We also can assist you apply for these benefits. As part of the process, you may need to fill out an application and give us certain items, such as income statements, tax return forms and a record of your monthly bills.

Kedren will work with all its patients needing help in paying primary care and/or behavioral health care bills. How much help patients receive will depend on their individual financial situation. To receive assistance, patients need to fill out a form provided by calling our financial assistance team; this form can be mailed to you or picked up at Kedren.

We can provide you with financial assistance information and any forms you need and can help you complete application and apply for assistance. Patients are strongly encouraged to ask for financial help before receiving primary care and/or behavioral health treatment, if possible. Patients can also apply at any time while receiving treatment and anytime during the billing process.
