Honoring Our Legacy, Advancing Our Commitment
At Kedren, our history is inseparable from the strength and perseverance of Black communities. Our organization was born out of a critical need: to deliver accessible, culturally attuned care to individuals and families who had been too often marginalized or unheard. More than five decades later, that purpose continues to guide our work.
As we celebrate the trailblazers—leaders, healers, advocates, and visionaries—who shaped both healthcare and our broader society, we are reminded that their legacy is not simply something we commemorate. It is something we carry forward. Every day, our staff embody this legacy through compassionate service, innovation, and a steadfast commitment to equity and dignity for every person who comes through our doors.
Black History Month reminds us that meaningful progress is possible when we lead with intention, elevate community voices, and act with courage. At Kedren, we remain devoted to advancing health equity, strengthening behavioral health and primary care services, and creating pathways to healing and opportunity for generations to come.
We honor where we began—and we are deeply committed to the future we are building together.
With gratitude and hope,
