Samuel Qui, CPA, CGMA
Mr. Qiu served as the 2007 Chairman of the board of directors of the Asian Business Association (ABA) based in Los Angeles, California. ABA is a premier business organization that represents Asian American business owners and creates business opportunities for its members and their diverse communities. Mr. Qiu is a certified public accountant (CPA) and a chartered global management accountant (CGMA) with specialties in healthcare, transportation, not for profit organizations and government. He currently represents various healthcare organizations as participants of both California Hospital Association and Hospital Association of Southern California. He also served from 2011 to 2014 as a commissioner of the California Health Facilities Financing Authority (CHFFA) appointed by the California Assembly Speaker. He is also currently representing ABA as a member of the City of Los Angeles Metro Transportation Business Advisory Council, the Caltrans Statewide Small Business Council, and the Los Angeles Unified School District Small Business Advisory Council. He continues to serve as the board of director and chief financial officer of the Asian Business Center, an educational and advocacy nonprofit organization that provides foundation support to the ABA.
Mr. Qiu is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CALCPAs).
Mr. Qiu is the founder of QIU Accountancy Corporation, a full-service accounting, auditing and consulting firm. Mr. Qiu has more than twenty years of accounting and consulting experience, specializing in accounting, and consulting of healthcare, transportation, governmental entities, and nonprofit organizations. As President of QIU Accountancy Corporation, Mr. Qiu is the Chief Executive Officer of the firm with offices in Los Angeles and Burbank, California, U.S.A. He is responsible for the firm’s administration, quality control, financial management and strategic planning. He has supervised and conducted financial audits in accordance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards and Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards and has supervised and planned audits in accordance with OMB Circulars A-133.
